In this application note, the composition of bauxite (MgO, Al2O3, SiO2, K2O, CaO, TiO2, MnO and Fe2O3) was determined by X-ray energy dispersive spectroscopy EDX8800D. The algorithm uses the empirical coefficient method to analyze the composition of 10 re-melted bauxite samples with a relative standard deviation (RSD) of less than 3.1%. After verifying the bauxite standard samples JRRM301, JRRM303, and JRRM305, the analysis results are consistent with the standard values, indicating that the method has high accuracy.
